Feature Film Development

We develop and produce film projects for New Zealand and international markets.  We are always on the lookout for fantasticstories.

We’re interested in international co-productions and ‘service’ productions with China, the UK, Australia, USA and countries New Zealand has existing screen production treaties with.

LOW BUDGET STORIES FROM GENRES THAT HAVE GREAT ROI (RETURN ON INVESTMENT):

Like…comedy, horror, comedy-horror and contained thrillers. These movies are less about  star power than about great concepts, so financially-successful movies can be made for lower levels of investment.

SILVER DOLLAR FEATURES:

Drama, light drama-comedy and comedy for the 50+ ‘Boomers’ audience. Films with the feel of Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Philomena, Quartet etc. 

FILMS FOR CHINA:

Culturally specific material that speaks to the burgeoning Chinese market of young adults in their early 20s. Popular genres include action and adventure, sci-fi, romance and romantic-comedy, drama and comedy.

We are looking for marketable, competitive films that meet Chinese censorship criteria.
