National Anzac Centre wins WA Heritage Awards

The National Anzac Centre in Albany, Western Australia has been named the state's best Heritage Tourism Project at the Western Australian Heritage Awards.

The Gibson Group is proud to have contributed to the Centre, designing two unique interactive experiences to bring World War I stories to life. Click here for more about the project.

The National Anzac Centre has had more than 45,000 visitors since opening in November 2014 and has been rated #21 in Lonely Planet's top worldwide travel experiences for 2015.

The Centre will now compete in the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation.

Judges' citation: An important national and international destination beacon, with world class interpretation that offers visitors a deeply personal connection with the Anzac legend through interactive, multimedia displays; unique artefacts; rare images and film; and audio commentary.
