New Owners of the Gibson Group

The Gibson Group has passed into new hands as three staff members – Chief Executive Victoria Spackman, Director of Exhibitions Allan Smith and Exhibitions Producer Brett Tompkins – buy the business from founder Dave Gibson who has commenced his new role as head of the New Zealand Film Commission. 

“We continue our commitment to innovative story telling across the screen and visitor attraction businesses, as well as ensuring the very best experiences for clients, audiences and visitors,” says Ms Spackman.  “Everyone at the Gibson Group looks forward to this new exciting phase for the company.”

Screen producer Bevin Linkhorn was to invest in the company but subsequently decided not to. “While I have decided against investing at this time, I am fully supportive of the new owners and remain committed to the company,” he says.
