Wall Nominated for Innovators Award

Gibson Group’s international award winning Wall project is in the running for yet another award, this time closer to home.  The museum project for Copenhagen Museum that literally took the museum to the streets is nominated for an “Innovation in Information Communications Technology” award at the New Zealand 2012 Innovators Awards. 

The Wall has already received two awards from the American Association of Museums, including the supreme overall award – the Ingenuity Award.  The United Nations have also recognised the Wall for its excellence in e-Culture and e-Heritage. 

The Wall is an innovative, immersive visitor experience where people can explore the archives of the Copenhagen museum in a non-linear fashion using touch.  The Wall is semi-mobile and has been placed in 3 different locations around Copenhagen to date.  This online video from NZTE will tell you more as will this YouTube link and this portion of the Gibson Group website.
